Crip camp gave those with disabilities the opportunity to live the life the world should have granted them.

Crip camp gave those with disabilities the atmosphere of normalcy the world should afford to them.

Crip camp also opened the world to many people who had never met or worked with people with disabilities.

Crip camp gave those with disabilities and their counselors the opportunity to find themselves in an all inclusive and equal opportunity atmosphere.

What I found most compelling about the documentary was the aura of inclusivity and compelling effort of the counselors to create a world that lacks the stereotypes that constantly survive in the real world about those with disabilities. The documentary showed many clips of the camp where the campers got to say who they are, what they like, and what makes them who they are. The clips also showed the campers doing what all stereotypical campers do; moving around the camp sites, bunking with friends, joking with friends, sitting in circles outside and talking with friends, etc..

The documentary puts those with disabilities into a place that you would not normally think to see people with disabilities and shows you that with some love, lack of judgment, and equal opportunity people with disabilities are capable of so much more than the stereotypes perceive.
